A former Iraqi soldier accused of murdering his wife at their Wellington home will next appear in the High Court.
Eman Jani Hurmiz, 41, died from multiple stab wounds in the driveway of her suburban Strathmore home last September 2.
Husband Najeeb Dawood, 51, appeared in Wellington District Court this morning charged with her murder.
Judge Susan Thomas remanded him to appear in the High Court at Wellington on April 23.
Dawood is also charged with threatening to kill or cause grievous bodily harm, assault with and possession of a weapon, and assault on a child.
He has not pleaded to any of the charges.
He was remanded to a medium security psychiatric hospital unit, where he was been since last September.
