The wife of All Blacks legend Jonah Lomu has thanked people for their support as he receives dialysis in hospital.
Nadene, his wife and manager, says he's doing 'ok' in Auckland Hospital.
"He's fighting a great battle in relation to his kidney but I'm there to support him every step of the way."
Lomu, who scored 37 tries in 63 Tests for the All Blacks, was first diagnosed with the serious kidney disorder nephrotic syndrome in 1995.
The giant winger underwent his first organ transplant in 2004, which effectively ended his glittering international rugby career.
He was taken to hospital in Auckland during the Rugby World Cup last September.
Lomu, 36, told a women's magazine earlier this month that he needed a new kidney and is searching for a new donor. He says he's lost 30kg since last September.
