A car has rolled north of Auckland, critically injuring two children and seriously injuring three other people.
Police, fire and ambulance were called to Glorit on Kaipara Coast Highway about 3.20pm after a car carrying five people rolled.
Ambulance spokeswoman Ngaire Jones said two children were critically injured and flown by rescue helicopter to Starship Hospital.
Another child was seriously injured and also flown to Starship Hospital, while two adults were seriously injured.
One of the adults was flown to Auckland Hospital, and the other was taken by road.
No other vehicles appeared to be involved in the crash.
State Highway 16 was closed at Wellsford to southbound vehicles, and northbound traffic was being diverted at West Coast Road, however police have since reopened the road to all traffic in both directions.
