Pedestrian critically injured in Auckland

A pedestrian was critically injured tonight when they were hit by a car in Mt Roskill, Auckland.

An ambulance spokeswoman said the 26-year-old man was in Auckland City Hospital with critical injuries.

The accident happened about 7.45pm.

New North Rd between Wolseley St and Rocky Nook Ave was closed while serious crash investigators examined the scene.
