The weather has kept the oyster fleet in port this week, but there should be plenty of the delicacy for tomorrow's Bluff Oyster and Food festival.
Spokesman Lindsay Beer says 30,000 oysters will be waiting for the crowds.
He says its not entirely about the oyster, festival goers will sample scallops, blue cod, paua sausages and mussels and plenty of fine wine and beer.
The festival starts with the piping in of the oyster at 11am tomorrow.
