A father of 10 has been charged with stealing six cars from outside Auckland homes in 24 hours.
Ken Hemana's alleged victims include Blues Super Rugby player James King.
Police allege Hemana took the vehicles to his property near Kaukapakapa, north of Auckland, and took them apart for scrap.
The 44-year-old appeared in North Shore District Court this week. He has yet to enter a plea.
According to court documents, police allege Hemana took the cars on March 21 and 22.
King's 1996 Toyota Prado TX went missing from outside a home in Remuera, and was found in pieces.
