Police have apologised for describing a missing woman as "half-caste".
Waitemata police yesterday said they had fears for the safety of 48-year-old Frances Maree Manufui - who was described as half-caste Samoan-European.
Chief media adviser Jon Neilson apologised for the "incorrect ethnic term" used in the description of Ms Manufui, who was found safe and well last night in the North Shore suburb of Milford.
