Defenders of three Spanish mission-style houses in St Heliers are making a last-ditch call to the Auckland Council to issue a heritage order to prevent demolition on Monday.
Save Our St Heliers spokeswoman Dorothy McHattie said the council had failed to reach an agreement with developers and needed to act now to fulfil its duty to protect an important part of the city's heritage.
