Train commuters using the main trunk line into Wellington will face delays this morning.
There are slips near Pukerua Bay at Muri and Plimmerton and also north of Ngauranga.
KiwiRail says trains won't be running again until 8 am at the earliest.
Chief executive Jim Quinn says replacement buses have been put on but he's sure that it won't be enough for the normal travelling public.
He says if people have any alternatives, KiwiRail would appreciate them trying to use those.
