An earthquake that struck just after midnight this morning was felt across the Kapiti and Wellington area.
The quake measuring 3.7 on the Richter Scale had a focal depth of 30km.
Its epicentre was 10km east of Waikanae and 50km north-east of the capital.
Over 30 homes and businesses had recorded feeling the quake on the GNS website by 10am.
