Police have charged the Auckland-based driver of a tourist bus that crashed over a bank in the Buller District in February, killing a tourist and injuring others.
The bus, carrying 17 foreign visitors, rolled down a bank on SH 6 at Charleston, 27km southwest of Westport. A 62-year-old from Britain was killed.
The bus driver, 37, will appear in the Westport District Court on September 18 charged with careless driving causing death and careless driving causing injury.
