Fog has disrupted a number of flights out of Auckland this morning.
Flights using small propeller planes to provincial towns such as Gisborne and Whakatane were delayed, Auckland Airport spokeswoman Lucy Powell said.
"It basically depends on whether the planes have the right equipment and a lot of those smaller planes don't," she said.
Ms Powell said some of the affected flights to smaller towns may be cancelled.
International flights and flights between Auckland and other major New Zealand cities were not affected, she said.
The fog caused problems for about 2-1/2 hours but it had lifted by 8.15am.
