A prisoner who had been on the run for about two weeks has been recaptured.
Brendon Joseph Shiels, 24, described as dangerous, was arrested in Auckland on Friday.
Shiels escaped from Christchurch Men's Prison on August 16 by smashing his cell door window, climbing on to a roof, stealing a ladder and scaling a perimeter fence.
