The designs of three New Zealand children will be among those to grace New Zealand Post's Christmas stamps
Judges chose the three winners - Apurv Bakshi, seven, from Christchurch, Dannielle Aldworth, 10, from Auckland, and Felix Wang, 11, also from Auckland - from more than 14,200 entries.
Their designs would feature on the 50c, $2 and $2.50 stamps, beside three other traditional designs.
Apurv's design showed a Christmas tree scene with Santa, Dannielle's depicted a colourful wood pigeon in a hat and Felix drew a Kiwi summer scene, with jandals, a chair on a deck, a pohutukawa tree in bloom against a backdrop of water and hills.
The children each won $1000 for themselves and $3000 for their schools.
Competition entrants ranged from five to 12 years old, studying at more than 2200 schools across New Zealand.
