One man was injured in an incident involving a firearm in Auckland on Thursday night.
Detective Sergeant Kathy Bostock, Auckland City Police said police received a report at 9.48pm of an incident in Manukau Rd, Royal Oak.
"The incident allegedly involved a confrontation between three males, one male was reported to be carrying a firearm," Bostock said.
"Two males fled the scene in a 2001 white Honda Odyssey. One male sustained unknown injuries."
A BB gun was recovered by police at the scene, and further inquiries are being made to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Police are appealing for information to help with the investigation.
