Northland rowers are making their mark at the New Zealand Rowing Championships in Twizel.
Whangarei Rowing Club sent down six rowers to compete in the five-day regatta.
The Woman's Club Coxless Quad Sculls - Tyler Nicholas, Maddi Brooke, Sophia Wetzel and Shannon Cox - have been highly impressive in their competition.
They finished second in their heat, which put them into a repechage. After winning the repechage they went on to their semifinal to battle for a place in the final.
Nicolas, Brooke, Wetzel and Cox went on to take fourth place in 7:24.27, securing themselves a spot in this morning's final.
Meanwhile, Brooke and Cox will contest in another A grade final after making rowing look easy in their Women's Club Double semifinal.
The pair, after comfortably reaching the semifinal, won the race in 7:44.58, more than five seconds ahead of their nearest rival.
Nicholas and Sarah White will compete in the B final of the same competition after finishing fifth in their semifinal, just one place away from qualifying for the final.
White also competed in the Women's Club Single Sculls, finishing third in her heat before a seventh place in the repechage.
Stewart Widger, the only male in the Whangarei crew, raced in the Men's Club Single Sculls and followed a similar route as White.
Widger finished fifth in his heat, setting him up with a repechage to try to qualify for the semifinals. Unfortunately he finished third, two places off of qualifying.
Racing at the NZ Rowing Nationals continues today and tomorrow.
