The date may have been pushed back but the WBO Heavyweight boxing belt will make an appearance in Whangarei on Monday.
The belt, which Joseph Parker will fight for against Mexican Andy Ruiz in Auckland on December 10 will be at Burger King in Whangarei at 11am.
Duco Events' Greg McCalman said the stop at Burger King, part of a promotional tour, is a great chance for people to see a belt that rarely comes to New Zealand.
"The trip gives people the chance to see the belt and take a photo with it," he said.
"The tour will bring awareness of the title, the fight and Joseph Parker."
In related news, Sky Television subscribers will have to pay $59.95 to watch the fight.
In comparison Parker's fight against Carlos Takam in May was priced at $49.95 and earlier fights in his career were a $10 cheaper.
ABout 1700 tickets remain for the December 10 fight at Vector Arena; 422 tickets will be placed on TradeMe this week at $1 reserve.
"We think that the price strikes a good balance signifying the moment in time and historical nature of the fight," said Duco CEO Martin Snedden.
"We are confident we've got it right and that people will respond."
