A 16-year-old from Kaitaia has been crowned Miss Far North after a ceremony in Kerikeri.
A new Miss Far North and Little Miss Far North for 2017 were crowned at the Turner Centre on Saturday.
Eight Miss Far North and seven Little Miss Far North hopefuls were under the scrutiny of judges Carleen Still, Charmaine Soljak and Emma Gilbert.
The grand prize of Miss Far North went to Aaliyah Dane, 16, of Kaitaia sponsored by Arbonne Hair and Beauty.
Aaliyah really the won hearts of the judges, also taking out the award for Miss Personality.
Miss Far North's runner-up was Sydney Batters, 16, (Kaeo) and second runner-up went to Kristy Buchanan, 15, (Cooper's Beach). Miss Catwalk was Chelsea Karl (Okaihau) and Miss Photogenic Alisha Tahere (Kaikohe).
The winner of Little Miss Far North was 10-year-old Payton Liddington from Pakaraka, sponsored by Country Bliss Beauty.
Little Miss Far North's runner-up was 11-year-old Kiana Liddington (Pakaraka) and second runner-up 11-year-old Coolie-Berry Maxwell (Okaihau).
Kylah Assad (Paihia) took the award for Little Miss Personality while Madison Stirling (Kaitaia) won Little Miss Photogenic.
People's Choice went to Sydney Batters. She was selected by Northland Age readers as well as the audience at the grand finale.
This year marks the fifth anniversary of the show.
