If you fancy nourishing your body and your business at the same time, The Orchard Business and Event Hub has launched a free, bite-sized learning event with its upcoming Lunchbox Sessions.
Business mentors from across Northland are volunteering their time to share knowledge in the Whangarei community initiative.
Kayla Tattley, Community Activator for the space which opened in November, said there was a need for networking and learning opportunities, which simply facilitated for the transfer of business knowledge.
"At so many networking events, speakers tend to discuss their own companies and it led me to thinking about how great it would be to also have something with a learning outcome for participants."
The sessions kick off at the Mahi Tahi conference and event room on January 26 and will run for 35 minutes.
"They will be short and fresh and allow participants plenty of time to get here - bringing their lunch with them - and get back to their workplaces. We hope to run these sessions fortnightly," she said.
Speakers would be focusing on everything from marketing, legal, finance and e-commerce, to health and safety, blogging, HR and sales, and everything in between.
The centre was still welcoming speakers to jump on board.
Ms Tattley said she had been surprised at the huge interest in booking the free event and conference facilities at The Orchard. She said the centre was still welcoming new hot desk members.
It would also be hosting an expert series later this year, which would see business gurus from across New Zealand attend from a range of industries.
The first Lunchtime Session begins at 12.45pm and will be live streamed for those who cannot make it.
