Northland are sending a Maori junior rugby league team to a NZ Maori tournament but are looking for a bit of help to get there.
The NZ Maori rugby league tournament is taking place in Ngaruawahia this weekend, but the team still needssponsorship to get the team to the competition, as well as accommodation.
The team to represent the north consists of 15 boys and girls playing in the under-10grade.
Gayel MacDonald said, despite being so close to the tournament, they still need a bit of help.
"I realise that this is short notice but we are requiring sponsorship for the team to travel down to the tournament to play and accommodation also," she said.
The team has two more trainings before they head down to the Waikato.
They are today and tomorrow at 4.30pm. Both trainings will be at Marist Sports Club at Kensington, Whangarei.
