The dancers from Rock'n'Roll Live Northland showed off their skills on Thursday and Northern Advocate photographer John Stone captured their moves.
Northland dancers Brianna Harwood and Nathan Calver have proven yet again they are an award winning combination after snapping up a top prize at the Rock'n'Roll Junior Nationals.
The Whangarei-based pair rocked and rolled their way to top at the competition held in Porirua over Easter Weekend, bringing back the title of New Zealand Champions.
But the dancing duo from Rock'n'Roll Live Northland were not the only success stories coming out of the Rock'n'Roll Junior Nationals. The club also brought home prizes for best dressed male and female, a third placing for their novelty act and other dancers from the club made their way to the semi finals.
Brianna, 12, and Nathan, 14, have been placing top in their sections since 2011 and have been dancing together for six years.
"There's pressure because people see how you went last year and the previous years so they always watch to see how you go," said Nathan.
The duo said they have always had a good connection dancing together but have become more confident over the years.
