There's no place like home ... or a showcase of everything you need to make one.
The Northland Home and Leisure Show starts today with more than 140 exhibitors presenting their products.
The Northern Advocate's Hayley Copsey, organiser of the show, said it was the first time the event had been hosted by the paper and The Hits.
"We have everything from health and well-being, we've introduced a food court upstairs where we have everything from fudge to Indian food."
This year, the event has an 800sq m marquee exhibiting outdoor gear, including sheds, jetskis and quad bikes.
Ms Copsey said variety was one thing the show guaranteed.
"We have everything you need to build, buy or renovate your home.
"It brings Northland together and showcases different businesses and new brands."
The event is being held at the ASB Stadium over three days. Today and tomorrow, it runs 10am-5pm; on Sunday it runs 10am-3pm on Sunday. Entry to the event is $5, children under-12 are free.
