There are 12 days of Christmas and Gaylene Kooge has a tree for each day.
In fact, Mrs Kooge has a tree for every week in the year - 52.
Thirty-seven of the 52 trees are in her living room alone, with the rest placed throughout her home.
Some are small artificial trees and some are pine trees that reach to the roof.
The larger ones are decorated in ornaments and Christmas lights, subtly lighting up the room.
"Every day of every year is a blessing to me but Christmas is one of those extra special times," she said.
"For me, 'Jesus is the reason for the season,' a time to celebrate his birth - a time to reflect, be grateful for the love of family and friends, a time for peace and a time for love."
The Northern Advocate receptionist was unsure why she has so many trees, but has been collecting them for about five years.
"I don't intentionally look for more trees, these have just accumulated over the years," she said.
"This one I saw at the Hospice Shop and I thought 'oh I just have to get it'," she said, pointing to the tallest Christmas tree in the room.
Mrs Kooge said her collection started because her living room was too large for a single tree.
"One just didn't look enough. My daughter came up around two weeks ago and she said 'Mum, it's beautiful but it can take more'," she said.
While 52 trees sounds like a lot, Mrs Kooge has had more. Last year she had 72 trees.
"I love the smell, I love the feeling they give, I love seeing the reactions of our darling grandchildren, Mia, Isla and Bailey, when they see the lights on at night and feel the joy the trees give."
Mrs Kooge said the many trees in her home created the perfect Christmas space.
"It's a happy space, where we come together in the spirit of Christmas."
