Over 40 Northland models will be showcasing 145 outfits in the inaugural NorthTec Savvy Christmas Fashion Show.
A collaboration between NorthTec and the Northern Advocate, Friday night's show at Forum North will feature on-trend fashion from six local businesses, make-up by two businesses and hair styling by five businesses.
From sizes 10 to 20, the clothes include an assortment of styles such as items from the upcoming autumn/winter season, as well as six up-cycled creations made by Northtec students, NorthTec head fashion tutor Edele MacDonald said.
Make-up looks will include retro and smoky eye.
"There's a huge variety of looks and styles. We will have everything from daywear, partywear, mother-of-the-bride to streetwear," she said.
"There will be something for everyone in the show."
Retailers will then be selling the garments, shoes and accessories on the night at a discounted price.
There will be canapes and bubbles for people on arrival, as well as the band 'Curfew' playing from 9pm to 11pm.

Tickets are $28 for standard entry, and $43 for premium. Doors open at the Forum North at 6.15pm Friday, and the show starts at 7pm.
