The All Blacks are coming to Northland.
But before you ask, no, they're not heading north to take on Southern Districts' champs Hora Hora.
Instead they're coming on Thursday, August 7, to meet the kids at three Bay of Islands' primary schools - Paihia, Opua and Russell.
Northland Rugby Union primary schools' development officer Grace Cooper, who is organising the visit, said four All Blacks would take part. Exactly which players were visiting was not yet known.
Their visit would run from 10am to 2pm with different activities at each of the three schools.
"The schools are really, really keen. We've had a lot of positive feedback," she said.
The best chance for members of the public to meet the All Blacks would be on Fullers' Bay Belle passenger ferry as the players travelled to Russell and back. They would depart Paihia wharf at 12.30pm and return from Russell about 2pm.
The players will be accompanied by Small Blacks TV presenter Nua Finau.
The small-town school visits were part of a tradition which started in 2011 in the lead-up to the Rugby World Cup, Miss Cooper said.
Other towns on next week's tour include Rotorua, Paraparaumu, Greymouth and Ashburton.
