And would you like a round of golf with that meal?
Whangarei's Old Stone Butter Factory, on Butter Factory Lane, has added golf to its menu with owners Jessica and Daniel White opening an adjoining mini-golf course.
The husband-wife duo are passionate about bringing new entertainment and tourist options to the community and are always looking at ways to attract and meet local demand.
"We love Whangarei and we grew up here noticing a distinct lack of entertainment activities," said Mrs White.
"We wanted to create something for the community and we love mini-golf. We have child-size putters, left-hand putters and there are no age limits. It's something everyone can play."
The nine-hole course is connected to the cafe/bar and is open to all ages until 10pm when the bar becomes 18-plus.
But with the business being less than two years old, the expansion could be seen as a little risky to some, but the Whites don't seem too worried. "When we told people we wanted to open a business, everyone said that if we could make it past two years we would be gold. We're only 18 months in, so it can be struggle sometimes, but we can see the good. I know it's worth it and every month we are landing on our feet," said Mrs White.
Interest had been growing during the renovation and, since its launch, the golf course has been full of people wanting to practise their back-swing.
"Every time we would tell someone about it, they would get so excited," said bar manager Sam Tarrant, adding it had been a huge hit for families over the school holidays.
"I've brought my kids twice and they had so much fun," Mr Tarrant said.
"It's really good fun for me to teach them how to play golf and hold the club."
The owners are hoping to expand to 18 holes with a Northland theme, including murals of local tourist hot-spots.
They hope it can be used for events such as birthday parties, with a golf tournament for adults in the future.
