Four girls and two four-legged friends are pounding the pavement to raise awareness and collect donations for the charity Save Animals From Exploitation (Safe).
The group are dressed as animals to spread the word of the work Safe does to save animals from harm.
Manaia Sanerivi said she has volunteered to take a collection bucket through Whangarei for a few years.
"I've got my little sister's pony with me and we're wandering through town collecting money and raising awareness," she said.
