Northland is going to be the place to be for the next few days with plenty of sunshine, little wind, plenty of sunshine, no rain and ... plenty of sunshine.
MetService media and communications meteorologist Daniel Corbett said Northland had been experiencing some terrific weather over the past few weeks and more was to come, until Tuesday at least.
"Northland has been the pick of the spots around the country for temperatures and fine weather, and the low [weather pattern] heading up the country over the next few days won't reach you, so the next few days are going to be fine, with very little wind, plenty of sun and a very low chance of rain," he said.
Mr Corbett said for more than a month Northland had not experienced daily high temperatures below 19C, with a particularly sparkling period of three days of 24C, 24C, and 25C in late October, while overnight lows had been between 8C and 15C on Tuesday.
And during the next few days the mercury should reach at least 23C, while the lows should not fall below 10C overnight.
"And there's going to be plenty of wonderful sunshine for you between now and Tuesday.
"There could be a shower or two from Tuesday to Thursday, but from then there should be more highs [weather patterns] and more good weather."
