End of charity run in sight

All the toots and cheers from passers-by have been giving Api Theodore a real boost as she completes her laps around Kensington Park.

The 65-year-old health enthusiast has been running and walking around the park to raise funds for the Northland Electricity rescue helicopter during the Northland Emergency Services Trust's annual appeal.

She was out there running and walking from November 22 for eight days straight, when she then took the weekend off. She said she has been enjoying it immensely.

Tomorrow will be her last day completing the laps, and she encourages anyone who feels like joining her to do so.

She said she has had quite a few people coming along to join her for a lap.

One day she had 20 men join her, which she said was a high from the last two weeks.

Api has taken time off work to complete the latest in a long-list of endurance marathons to raise funds and awareness for various causes. If you see Api and her donation bucket out running today or tomorrow show your support.
