Fonterra director quits
Multi-millionaire Fonterra director Colin Armer has resigned suddenly from the board of New Zealand's biggest company. The resignation of the Bay of Plenty farmer-elected director this week came days after Waikato director John Wilson was named chairman-elect to succeed Sir Henry van der Heyden when he steps down from the helm at the firm's annual meeting in November. Armer, who is understood to have also sought the job, has large dairying interests around the country and an estimated worth of $200 million on the NBR Rich List.
