A Northland court has ordered that the vehicle driven by a repeat drink-driver be seized and forfeited to the Crown.
The Kaikohe District Court made the order after Takumanawa Marama Cassidy, 36, admitted to her third drink-driving charge since June 2010.
The latest charge was laid after Cassidy was stopped on Mangakahia Rd, about 10.45pm on November 10 last year after police observed the vehicle she was driving failed to keep within the correct lane.
She admitted consuming two glasses of wine about five minutes before being stopped by police and returned a reading of 582 micrograms of alcohol per litre of breath.
The legal limit for persons over 20 is 400mcg.
Cassidy was sentenced to six months' home detention and was disqualified from driving for 12 months.
