Two gang members who escaped custody at Manukau District Court could be on their way to Northland.
Police say they are dangerous and should not be approached.
Perry Bristow, 26, and Vincent Geros, 23, were due to appear on aggravated robbery charges but fled while being escorted by security guards from the cells to the court room about 10am, on Wednesday, Auckland City police communications manager Noreen Hegarty said.
The pair were last seen running across Hayman Park on the western side of Manukau City Centre.
Ms Hegarty said Bristow may have access to firearms and had connections to the Killer Bees gang, while Geros was associated with Black Power in Northland.
