The Xero roadshow rolled into Whangarei in late August.
A total 120 of Xero's local accounting and bookkeeping partners attended the event, held at Toll Stadium on August 27, to share industry thinking and learn how to improve business efficiency for small business customers.
The visit was part of a nationwide tour sharing updates to its online accounting software with 3000 of its partners across 16 different towns and cities - from Invercargill to Whangarei.
New Zealand Country manager for Xero Craig Hudson said the scope of what accountants and bookkeepers need to offer small businesses is changing.
"It's moving beyond doing their accounts and tax to providing expert financial and business advice, particularly on technology and payroll advice.
"This move to advisor, and business expert, plays a crucial role in the success of small businesses, the engine room of so many of our communities in New Zealand."
"It's about advising businesses in Northland on how to grow, be even more productive and efficient in all aspects of their business and improve economic performance in the area," he said.
