The largest provider of shipping containers in Australasia has opened an office in Whangarei.
The company says its aim is to meet growing demand for container building solutions and portable storage in Northland.
Royal Wolf specialises in the hire, sale and modification of new and refurbished shipping containers, and portable container buildings such as kiosks, kitchens, worker's lunchrooms, and public safety walkways for construction sites.
Executive general manager Paul Creighton says the new facility is a reflection of Northland's positive economic outlook and potential for further growth.
He says as well as meeting demand in Whangarei it will allow Royal Wolf to service the busy Bay of Islands area and other parts of the Far North.
"We used to be able to service Northland from out of Auckland but demand has increased so much in the region in recent years that having locals on the ground is essential.
"We foresee the business growing steadily in Whangarei and Northland and with the increased demand for container solutions, the new facility ensures customers will have access to our full range of products," he says.
The new Royal Wolf container showroom is at Toll NZ's depot in Rewa Rewa Rd and will be headed by Whangarei local Dale Jacobs.
