The fastest talker in the world has landed in New Zealand, showing off her speedy skills to promote the services of a local telco.

New Yorker Fran Capo clocks 11 words a second, earning her title of fastest talker in the Guinness Book of World Records in 1986 - a crown she still holds.

She took time out between touristy activities (zorbing and black water rafting are on her to-do list) and 2degrees commitments to chat with us in the NZ Herald studio.

The fastest talker in the world, Fran Capa, has flown from New York for a whirlwind tour of the North Island to promote local telco 2degrees. She joined Life & Style Editor Nicky Park in the studio for a quick chinwag.
