Navy sailor to face court martial over 'intimate visual recordings'

A 28-year-old Royal New Zealand Navy sailor accused of making and possessing "intimate visual recordings" will face a court martial next week.

The sailor has name suppression under the Armed Forces Discipline Act 1971 and the Criminal Procedure Act 2011, the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) said today.

The Court Martial of New Zealand will sit at 9am next Tuesday, March 5 at the Officer Training School, HMNZS PHILOMEL, Devonport.

The NZDF said no further details will be released ahead of the court martial.
