Whangarei house fire under investigation

The cause of a house fire north of Whangarei overnight is being investigated.

Fire crews were called to the property on Irvine Rd in Kamo, north of the city, at 2.15am.

The fire has been extinguished.

No one was inside at the time and the owners are believed to be on holiday, said a Fire Service communications spokesman.
