Woman flown to hospital from Mt Maunganui

A woman has been winched from a walking track on Mount Maunganui.

The 62-year-old from Papatoetoe collapsed while she was going up the Mount with her family this afternoon.

She was flown to Tauranga Hospital in the Trustpower TECT Rescue Helicopter in a moderate condition.

Helicopter crew-man Barry Vincent says the reason for her collapse was unclear.
