Investiture ceremony for Peta Mathias today

An investiture ceremony for author, chef and television presenter Peta Mathias will be held at Government House in Auckland today.

Mathias, who is well known for her culinary work, was made a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit in last year's Queen's Birthday honours.

The ceremony, to be hosted by Governor-General Lieutenant General Sir Jerry Mateparae, is being held early because Mathias will be overseas at the time of the investiture ceremonies in May and September.
