Motorcyclist killed in West Coast crash

A motorcyclist has been killed in a crash on the West Coast.

Police said a motorcycle and a car collided on State Highway 7 between Reefton and Blacks Point at about 12.15pm today.

The man riding the motorcycle was killed in the crash.

The sole occupant of the car, a Reefton local, was uninjured.

State Highway 7 is closed but police hope to have the road cleared by 3pm.

Serious Crash Investigators are working at the scene to determine the cause of the crash and police are contacting next of kin.
