Bowler Peter Belliss is back on the New Zealand team, this time as an assistant coach.
Belliss, who has lived in Australia for 16 years, will work alongside national coach Dave Edwards to prepare the team for the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
After his own successful bowls career, which saw him attend four Commonwealth Games, Belliss' experience in the Northern Hemisphere makes him an asset for New Zealand.
"I want to pass the knowledge I gained on to all of the team" said Belliss. "The conditions are different and it's a different game up there [Northern Hemisphere], it's a big ask to go up there and be successful so I am looking forward to helping in that area."
Alongside Belliss will be current assistant coaches Terry Scott and Raelene Peters.
"As a coaching group, Raelene, Terry and I are really looking forward to having Pete join us" said Edwards.
Belliss will make his international coaching debut at the Trans Tasman competition at the Howick Bowling Club in Auckland in March.
