Two suspected arsons in Dunedin being investigated

Police are investigating two suspected arsons in Dunedin overnight.

Emergency services were called to Malvern St in Dalmore about 11.45pm where a large cabbage tree was on fire outside a residential address.

About 15 minutes later they were alerted to a fire on nearby Woodhaugh St where a container full of household rubbish was burning.

Firefighters extinguished both fires.

Senior Sergeant Kelvin Lloyd appealed to anyone with information to contact Dunedin police on (03) 471 4800.
