Three injured as vehicle rolls near Taupo

Three people have been seriously injured after a vehicle rolled in Taupo this afternoon.

Police have closed the East Taupo Arterial Road near the central city after the single-vehicle crash about midday.

Inspector Andy Brill of police northern communications said three people were taken to Waikato Hospital with serious injuries.

The road was expected to reopen shortly.
