Man injured by tree being felled in Motueka

A man suffered serious back injuries when he was hit by a tree being felled in Motueka Valley this morning.

The Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter was sent to the scene about 8.40am after the 58-year-old Wakefield man was hurt.

He was treated at the scene before being flown to Nelson Hospital.
