East Coast shaken by small quake

A small earthquake struck on the East Coast near Gisborne this morning.

According to GeoNet, the quake occurred about 20km southwest of Tolaga Bay at a depth of 24km just after 7am.

It was initially reported as a magnitude 3.5 earthquake but this was later revised to magnitude 3.3.
