Man goes missing while camping in Canterbury

Police are trying to find a 20-year-old man who was last seen camping with friends in Canterbury.

Nicholas John Ward went missing from a campsite at Mt Grey, Hurunui yesterday (Tue), Acting Inspector Paul Reeves said.

He is described as a 1.8-metre tall caucasian male, with dark brown spiky hair, a thin moustache and a goatee beard.

Mr Ward was last seen wearing a black t-shirt with a print on the front, but was not wearing shoes.

Police would like to hear from anyone who might have seen him or knows where he is.
