Soccer: Phoenix looking to bolster squad

Wellington Phoenix coach Ricki Herbert has indicated for the first time he will look to bolster his squad during the January transfer window.

But it's unlikely to be a big name as Herbert is keen on making sure any signing can add long-term value at the club.

Herbert says they are looking for a fullback or attacking midfielder.

The Phoenix play the top of the table Central Coast Mariners this afternoon.

Kick-off is at 6pm.
