Blues players Anthony Boric (left) and George Moala shared some of their muscle-power in a community garden in Ranui yesterday.

Several members of the rugby franchise helped out garden co-ordinator Buffie Mawhinney (centre) and her team with tasks such as painting, mowing and planting as part of their Blues Christmas Working Bee.

"It's a time to show thanks and goodwill to ... our community," said coach Sir John Kirwan.
