One dead in Taranaki crash

One person was killed and another seriously injured in a crash in Taranaki this evening.

An ambulance spokeswoman said the two-vehicle crash occurred on State Highway 3 near Eltham, about 45km south of New Plymouth, at 6.05pm.

One person died at the scene and another was taken to Taranaki Base Hospital with serious injuries.
