Woman hospitalised after falling from horse

A 50-year-old woman is recovering in Rotorua Hospital after being thrown from her horse this afternoon.

She has a broken leg following her fall while riding through forest near Te Teko.

The woman was stabilised at the scene by medics from Whakatane and Kawerau before the Rotorua-Bay Of Plenty Rescue Helicopter airlifted her to hospital for further treatment.
